Job Opportunities

Vice President of Operations

Description:

SR&R is excited to announce that we have an opening for VP of Operations/ General Manager.  This position is near the beach in beautiful Wilmington, NC, and is a good fit for the seasoned environmental services professional.  SR&R is a stable and growing company headquartered in NC and we have been in business for 26 years.  We are proudly in the sweet spot between big enough to handle large jobs, but not so big that layers of corporate bureaucracy complicate everything.

There are a lot of moving pieces in a company that performs environmental and industrial services. Since we offer services as diverse as emergency spill response, industrial cleaning, haz and non-haz waste disposal, and remediation services, we need a very organized and talented individual who can juggle the needs of each client and jobsite to make sure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.  Regularly scheduled jobs are ongoing, and emergency oil and chemical spills sporadically occur, requiring quick action and the ability to think on your feet.

The ideal candidate will have enough experience that they can quickly and efficiently look at a job acquired by the sales staff, work with them to determine exactly what is needed to perform the work in terms of equipment, personnel, and material, and then make sure it's all scheduled and performed.   The position is not a sales position per se, but does involve a healthy amount of sales support.  Sales staff gets the work; this job makes sure it gets done.

This position will be directly responsible for a staff of experienced Crew Leaders, Supervisors, and Field Technicians who are performing the work.  Applications and interviews will be handled with the utmost of confidentiality and discretion.
