  • Technical Services Director/ Waste Manager

    This position oversees all of the non-hazardous and hazardous waste streams that are brought into SR&R for disposal. This position needs to be able to take a given waste stream, SDS, or analytical profile and determine what the best method for final disposition is including treatment, recycling, blending, incineration, land farm, etc. Responsibilities include:
    -Managing, categorizing, and profiling all incoming waste streams
    -Refining and implementing the RCRA and DOT training program for drivers and technicians
    -Assisting the EH&S Director with training and compliance issues as they arise
    -Maintaining all compliance documentation regarding incoming waste streams
    -Streamlining and updating waste flow
    -Management responsibility over wastewater treatment plant
    -Management and optimization of recycled oil and fuel program from the ground up, including remarketing used oil
    -Selection and sourcing for related equipment: OWS, equipment trailers, waste handling or process equipment
    -Assisting sales team or operations in the estimating and logistics of new and existing work
    -Maintaining a waste database for tracking and disposal
    -Performing lab packing/ pencil packing
    -Researching, assisting, and developing growth into new waste handling methods

  • Chemical Technician

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Technician to join our team in McDonough, Georgia. As an Chemical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper management and disposal of waste materials (primarily expired chemicals) for our clients. This position involves visiting customer sites to assess waste inventory, accurately recording inventory data into spreadsheets, assisting with loading waste materials, handling all associated paperwork, and responding to emergency situations if they arise. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to handle emergency scenarios, and a commitment to environmental compliance.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct on-site visits to customer locations to assess and document waste inventory.

    • Accurately record waste inventory data in electronic spreadsheets or database systems.

    • Communicate effectively with customers.

    • Assist in the loading and unloading of waste materials onto designated transportation vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.

    • Provide excellent customer service.

    • Collaborate with the regulatory team to ensure all required permits and documentation are prepared and submitted accurately and on time.

    • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge in waste management.

    • Respond to emergency situations related to waste spills, leaks, or other incidents, following established protocols to mitigate risks and minimize environmental impact.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification in environmental science, chemistry, or a related field is a plus.

    • Prior experience in waste management, environmental services, or related field preferred.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Proficiency in using spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) for data entry and analysis.

    • Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements is desirable.

    • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work in varying weather conditions.

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.

    • Willingness to respond to emergency situations and follow established protocols as needed.

Candidates must be able to research and qualify accounts, develop relationships with key decision makers, analyze their needs, and provide solutions for current and future needs. 3+ years of industrial/environmental services business development experience a MUST. Self direction and motivation are key, as this job requires a lot of cold-calling, travel, and client entertainment.

  • Abatement Division Manager

    After years of requests from our clients, we are now offering abatement services!

    This position is to oversee the management and growth of the division and is an exciting opportunity to get in on the “ground floor” for the seasoned abatement professional looking to move up! This position will involve the management of the department from start to finish. You’ll be expected to visit with clients, present yourself in a professional fashion, communicate intelligently, create an accurate cost estimate of labor, materials, and disposal costs and then oversee the actual abatement itself. This will initially involve a very hands-on approach as you will be expected to run and participate in the crews performing the abatements. However, as the division grows more employees will be added under you until your job will become more managerial involving more estimation, sales, and management of crews under you.

    It is understood that since this is currently a small portion of what we do, you’ll be expected to perform our other environmental and industrial services until the work volume picks up enough for you to focus exclusively on abatement. This would include our core environmental and industrial services.
