SR&R Environmental, Inc. (“SR&R,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides environmental and industrial services, including emergency spill response, waste hauling and disposal, and industrial cleaning. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, srrenviro.com, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to information collected through this website and through direct phone or email contact with us about the website. It does not cover information we collect offline in the course of providing services to customers, except where noted. By using this website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

If you have questions at any point, contact information is at the end of this policy.

Information You Provide to Us

Contact form. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, company (optional), phone number, email address, and your message. Submissions are stored in our website database and emailed to our staff so we can respond.

Job applications. Our online driver employment application at /careers/apply collects the detailed information that federal transportation regulations require motor carriers to gather from driver applicants. Because this information is extensive and sensitive, it is covered in its own section below, “Job Applicants.”

Waste profile forms. If you download a waste profile form and email it to us, we receive whatever information you include in the completed form.

Direct contact. If you call or email us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your contact details and the content of your message.

Submission details. When you submit any form on this website, we also automatically record your IP address, browser information (user agent), the date of submission, and the page you submitted from.

Job Applicants

Our driver employment application collects the information that U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations require us to obtain and verify, including under 49 CFR 391.23 (investigations and inquiries) and 49 CFR 40.25 (drug and alcohol testing history).

  • Driver’s license numbers, including issuing state, license type, and expiration date
  • Your accident history for the past 3 years, including any fatalities or injuries
  • Your traffic convictions for the past 3 years
  • Answers to questions about license suspensions or revocations, pending or past DWI or controlled-substance charges, denial of auto insurance, misdemeanor or felony charges or convictions, and positive or refused pre-employment drug or alcohol tests within the past 2 years
  • Your driving experience by equipment type
  • Your employment history for the past 10 years, including employer names, addresses, and phone numbers, salary, reason for leaving, and whether each position was subject to FMCSA regulations or a drug and alcohol testing program
  • Desired salary, availability, any prior applications to or employment with SR&R, and any other names you have used
  • Education, military service, skills, and certifications
  • Contact information for three references (name, occupation, phone, address) and the names of any relatives employed at SR&R

Information about other people. If you provide information about references or relatives, please make sure you have their permission and that the information is accurate. We use it only to evaluate your application.

Investigation authorization. The application includes a signed certification in which you authorize SR&R to investigate your personal, employment, financial, and medical history, and release your previous employers, schools, and health care providers from liability for providing that information. As a result, we may receive information about you from those third parties as part of the hiring process.

Your FMCSA rights. Under 49 CFR 391.23, you have the right to review information provided by your previous employers, to request that a previous employer correct inaccurate information, and to submit a rebuttal statement that is attached to that information.

Who sees your application. Completed applications are stored in our website database and sent by email to the SR&R staff involved in hiring. We may also share application information with previous employers and with verification, background-check, or driving-record providers as part of the required investigation, and with regulators such as DOT and FMCSA when the law requires it.

Please submit application information only through the application form, not by email. See the “Security” section below.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your visit:

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site: pages viewed, time on site, how you arrived (traffic source), your device and browser type, and your approximate location. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*). You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Microsoft Clarity session recording. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our site through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Clarity records how you use and interact with our pages, including your clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, along with device, browser, and approximate location information. It uses first-party cookies (_clck, _clsk) and Microsoft cookies (including CLID and MUID). Microsoft collects this data through cookies and other technologies and may use it as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement, including for site improvement and advertising purposes.

Advertising. We use the Google Ads remarketing tag, which sets Google/DoubleClick advertising cookies. This allows us to show SR&R ads to people who have visited our site when they browse other websites. This is a form of targeted (interest-based) advertising. You can opt out through Google Ads Settings, aboutads.info, or networkadvertising.org.

Fonts. Our site loads fonts from Adobe Fonts. When pages load, Adobe receives your IP address and browser information. See Adobe’s Privacy Policy.

Embedded videos. Some pages include embedded YouTube videos. YouTube (part of Google) may set cookies and collect information about your interaction with those videos, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Hosting and infrastructure. Our site is hosted by WP Engine, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps). Site files such as images, stylesheets, and scripts are delivered by the Bunny.net content delivery network, which receives your IP address, browser information, and the URLs you request.

Security and anti-spam. We use Cloudflare Turnstile on our contact form to distinguish humans from bots; it collects browser and device signals and your IP address. We use CleanTalk anti-spam, which sends form submission data (such as your email, IP address, and message contents) to its cloud service for spam checks, checks visitor IP addresses, runs a bot-detection script, and sets cookies. We also use Wordfence, a website firewall that logs IP addresses, browser information, and requested URLs, and shares the IP addresses of blocked attackers with the Wordfence threat network.

Information We Receive from Third Parties

For job applicants, we receive information from third parties as part of the hiring investigation described above, including:

  • Previous employers, who may provide employment verification, safety performance history, accident information, and drug and alcohol testing history as required by FMCSA rules
  • The references you list on your application
  • Verification, background-check, or driving-record providers we use to confirm the information in your application

We do not receive information about ordinary website visitors from data brokers or similar sources.

How We Use Information

We use the information described in this policy to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and requests
  • Provide, schedule, and manage our services
  • Evaluate job applicants and make hiring decisions
  • Comply with DOT and FMCSA requirements and other legal and regulatory obligations
  • Protect our website and business, including security, fraud prevention, and spam filtering
  • Understand how our website is used and improve it (analytics)
  • Advertise our services, including showing ads to past visitors on other websites

How We Share Information

We share information in these situations:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run this website and our business, including the providers named in this policy (hosting, content delivery, analytics, session recording, advertising, fonts, video, security, and anti-spam). They receive the information described above in order to provide their services.
  • Hiring verification. For job applicants, we share information with previous employers and with verification, background-check, or driving-record providers as part of the investigation you authorize when you apply.
  • Legal and regulatory requirements. We disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, including DOT and FMCSA requirements, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SR&R, our employees, or others.
  • Business transfers. If SR&R is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Selling and advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of the Google Ads remarketing tag means Google collects information about your visit through advertising cookies and uses it to show you our ads on other sites. Some laws treat this kind of targeted advertising as “selling” or “sharing” personal information. You can opt out using the links in the “Cookies and Tracking Technologies” section below.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies set by us and by the third-party services below. They load for all visitors.

Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Do Not Track. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to “Do Not Track” browser signals, this website does not respond to them at this time.

Data Retention

We keep the information described in this policy for as long as needed for our business purposes and to meet legal and regulatory requirements, including DOT and FMCSA record-keeping rules that apply to driver hiring. Form submissions, including contact messages and job applications, are retained in our website database. Server, security, and analytics logs are retained according to the practices of the providers that generate them.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including security services such as a website firewall and bot protection. Under North Carolina’s Identity Theft Protection Act, certain information we collect, such as driver’s license numbers, is treated as protected identifying information, and we take reasonable steps to safeguard it. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

No website, database, or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Email in particular is not a secure way to send sensitive information. Please do not email us driver’s license numbers, Social Security numbers, financial information, or health information. Use the forms we provide, or call us to ask about a more secure way to send something.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You can:

  • Opt out of targeted advertising using the links in the “Cookies and Tracking Technologies” section above
  • Limit analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on and your browser’s cookie controls
  • Ask us about your information. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the information at the end of this policy. We will respond consistent with applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity first. Note that we may be required to keep certain information, such as driver application records, to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Job applicants also have the FMCSA review, correction, and rebuttal rights described in the “Job Applicants” section above.

Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for businesses and job seekers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where Information Is Processed

We are a U.S. company, and the information described in this policy is processed and stored in the United States. One of our service providers, the Bunny.net content delivery network, is based in the European Union and processes visitor requests as part of delivering site content. If you visit from outside the United States, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

Third-Party Websites

Our site links to third-party sites and services, including our pages on Facebook, LinkedIn, and X, and share buttons for those platforms. These are plain links; the platforms do not collect data through our pages via those links, but once you leave our site, their own privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes may also be highlighted on the site. Your continued use of the website after an update means the updated policy applies.
